Opening was a bit tight at first and my son had a hard time putting the shoes on by himself. They stretched out quickly though and he has no issues now. He loves these shoes and says they are very comfortable.

My 10 yr old wears this at least 3 days a week for the fall semester. I notice some wear on the bottom. But handling rough boy wear very well. This is a good shoe. The black w/neon even works for church.
